The Vital Lincoln City members’ voted for whom they believe was The Imps Man of The Match in their 2-0 win away at AFC Wimbledon in League One.

Views from PWould: “Did well and showed good composure. Kicking sound, distribution fine, handling a bit mixed. He made one particularly difficult save from the second half downward header. The rest was fairly routine, but given his lack of experience at this level, he was assured. Captain fantastic was a close second.”

Views from our poll thread on our 100% Imps forum:

PerthImp: “Agree Poole was huge, but, just for a change, I‘ve gone for Marquis. He and Hopper were immense but his charging down the keeper and then having the composure to make the perfect pass for Bishop to score, for me, was a real game-changer/winner and just demoralised Wimbledon. 👏👏.”

berksimps: “Marquis ahead of Wright and Poole, although the latter was turned a few times. I thought Whittaker and Fiorini both showed some class first half, Hopps battled throughout. No nonsense defending when down to ten, and a bit of Marquis magic to make the second goal.”

johnoble: “Marquis, set the tone in a battle by defending from the front, constantly harrassing defenders and then the calmness and composure to set up Bishop for the clincher.”
