The Vital Lincoln City members’ voted for whom they believe was The Imps Man of The Match in their 2-0 defeat away at Ipswich Town in League One.

Views from johnolbe: “It was defence against attack so the only decent candidates were Poole, Jackson, and McGrandles who kept a one-sided game down to 2-0 by restricting openings to a minimum and winning their individual battles. Poole was very competitive but his positional play in the first half was much too narrow for a back 3 meaning Whittaker was so exposed down their right so he was a major part of our first half calamities. BNC and Wright did ok-ish but everyone else should be disappointed, to say the least.

Voted for Jackson.”

Views from our poll thread on our 100% Imps forum:

Chesterimp: “Poole, again maximum effort and commitment. Hope he doesn’t hold back after the match.”

sedgleyimp: “Poole for me as well. Stepped in several times and you could see that his efforts were at the usual levels.

A quick nod to Wright in goal who did fine. Faultless for the goals and I do like how he uses his full 18-yard area and occasionally beyond.”

Scotimp: “Norton-Cuffy, the only player who looked at all threatening going forward.

By a whisker from Poole, who did well.”

PerthImp: “I’ve gone for Poole as well. It wasn’t his best performance tonight but bear in mind he was playing left-sided defender and was woefully exposed by those in front of him. Felt sorry for him -so frustrated.”
