The Vital Lincoln City members’ voted for whom they believe was The Imps Man of The Match in their 2-1 win at home against Morecambe in League One.

Views from berksimps: “Thought McGrandles edged it from Walsh. The two 90 minute concentration players in a team that was only in survival mode for much of the second half. A decent first half, then a captain’s battling performance, leading by example to win tackles and get first to the ball.”

Views from our poll thread on our 100% Imps forum:

PerthImp: “Walsh for me. Even after being out so long and probably lacking a degree of match sharpness, he reads the game so well and times his interceptions so well. Kept the league’s top scorer quiet. Honourable mentions to McGrandles and Sanders 👍.”

sedgleyimp: “From an IFollow view, which doesn’t always give you the full picture, I’ve gone for McGrandles who gave a Captain’s performance in that second half including giving out some needed fleas in-ears.”

PWould: “A tricky one as many candidates from the first half and few from the second. Shout outs to McGrandles, Eyoma Walsh, and Marquis but Sanders nicks it for me.”

Chesterimp: “iFollow view, so missed much of the off-ball movement which Hone alluded to. McGrandles for me too, a real captain’s performance with ball and tongue, helped hugely in holding out for the win during that shaky 2nd half despite ‘missing’ Morecambe’s best chance of an equaliser.

Great to see Walsh back and once again showing he needs little time getting up to speed, it’s staying fit to stay there that’s always the issue.”
