Following the 2-1 defeat versus Northampton Town at Sincil Bank in League One, I asked the Vital Lincoln City members to nominate who they believe was City’s Man of the Match. On this occasion, three players were nominated within 24 hours following the thread being started. Those players were: TJ Eyoma, Teddy Bishop and Hakeeb Adelakun. Thank you to those who voted on the poll!

Following the nominations, we opened the poll up to everyone and this is how it finished:

Here are some of the views from the nominations thread:

berksimps: “TJ by a country mile. On the day the quickest and best defender. And up front, he was so determined to score that goal. He should have more competition for MOTM but in truth, there was no one else in contention.”

Chimpimp: “I am going for Bishop…just because he allowed us to play some more controlled football on the ground….and played the ball through the eye of a needle that Adelakun should have buried, immediately prior to the goal.

I am gradually becoming more of a TJ fan but Jackson was again easily the best defender on Friday. Really showing with the ball at his feet as well and trying to get the thing moving as Skubala will eventually be aiming for.

TJ is still vulnerable in the air and had he won the header in the box, Jensen’s blushes would have been spared.”

Merthyr Imp: “Adelakun for me. As I’ve said elsewhere – the only player apart from the back three who was doing anything in the first half, and throughout, even if he couldn’t beat the keeper was at least getting in shots at goal unlike anyone else.”
