Following the 3-0 win at home against Wycombe Wanderers in League One, I asked the Vital Lincoln City members to nominate who they thought was City’s Man of The Match. The three players who received at least one nomination were Danny Mândroiu, Ethan Erhahon and Paudie O’Connor. Thank you to those that voted!

Following the nominations, we opened the poll up to everyone and this is how it finished:

Views from the nominations thread:

Eweimps: “I thought Rougham had a good game but I have to nominate Danny Mandriou who was involved in everything.”

Implode: “Paudie for his battle with Vokes. Very important in that first half, the game could have been lost before Mandroiu came to life.”

hulloutpost: “Somebody has to nominate Erhahon. Mandroiu did all the eye-catching stuff and got us over the line whilst Erhahon did all that ugly stuff but with so much style and ease it was pure golden syrup.

Great positions, reading the game, pressing, tackles and almost always a forward pass with perfect weight. A massive influence on why we were in a position for Mandy to finish them off.”

August 2023:

Bolton Wanderers (a): Ethan Hamilton: 74 votes (89%), Danny Mândroiu: 9 votes (11%).
Notts County (a): Danny Mândroiu: 47 votes (62%), Reeco Hackett-Fairchild: 19 votes (25%), Alistair Smith: 10 votes (13%).
