Views from Gaz_Imp following Saturday’s 3-0 win at home against Wycombe Wanderers in League One: “For 60 minutes felt like we were a side looking to do right things but not clicking. But the substitutes really clicked us into gear – well done MK.

Bishop still has a lot to offer, our passing was just that bit quicker with him on the pitch, his brain is a second ahead of everyone else, would be a Championship player if his body was as strong as his brain.
The best game seen from Roughan, really seemed to grow into it.
Mandriou rightly MOTM, an absolute gem, in for an exciting season if keep him fit. Also thought Hackett played very well and looks like a player who will make things happen.”

Sincilbanks: “Just got back, thought we looked a lot more progressive than last season. Hackett was frustrating me in the first half, always seemed to be playing inside and never ran the channels. Looked good with the ball at his feet though at times. Brown looked a better player than pre-season as well. Wycombe looked organised and well-coached but very little quality on the ball.
Second half we looked even better and were by far the better team. Burroughs looks a proper, proper wing back and I suspect Lasse might struggle to keep his place fairly soon. By the time we scored the third they looked the very definition of a beaten side…”
Snats: “Subs changed the game, so kudos to Kennedy for making them early. Also nice to see us go for the jugular rather than sitting back on a narrow lead like we did so often last season. The only caveat is that Wycombe looked very poor and would be bottom of the league if not for Wigan’s points deduction. It’s going to be a long season for them.”
sedgleyimp: “Back home after what turned out eventually to be a very enjoyable afternoon. The first half and perhaps the first 15 of the second largely forgettable but once we got into our groove, we got into it big time. The 3 subs seemed to galvanise the performance and we certainly settled once that first goal went in. Excellent later part second half, which if we continue to play like that throughout the season we just might have something very special to celebrate.
It’s only 1 game though which shows promise, but let’s not get carried away.”
