Following the 2-0 defeat versus Oxford United at Sincil Bank in League One, I asked the Vital Lincoln City members to nominate who they believe was City’s Man of the Match. On this occasion, four players were nominated within 24 hours following the thread being started. Those players were: Ethan Hamilton, Adam Jackson, Dylan Duffy and Lukas Jensen. Thank you to those who voted on the poll!

Following the nominations, we opened the poll up to everyone and this is how it finished:

Here are some of the views from the nominations thread:

johnolbe: “Hamilton, although he was a part of a pretty much disfunctional midfield every time he got the ball he tried to play forward and to drive us forward, admittedly often up blind alleys but that was more due to lack of movement and lack of options from those around him.”

Limpy: “I turned to my mate with a few minutes to go and said, “How would you pick a man of the match from that?”, laughed a few seconds later as Burroughs was announced.

I suspect that Jensen was probably going to be awarded it, but after scoring an OG, the sponsors probably panicked.

One mistake, a crucial one but that aside had a solid game.

So Jensen, just….”

clanfordimp: “Jensen.

Some players made a worse mistake than him by not even turning up on the night!

Made 2 or 3 good saves and his handling from crosses was good.”
