Following the 1-0 win away at Shrewsbury Town in League One, I asked the Vital Lincoln City members to nominate who they thought was City’s Man of The Match. The four players who received at least one nomination were Ethan Hamilton, Paudie O’Connor, Lukas Jensen and Teddy Bishop. Thank you to those who voted!

Following the nominations, we opened the poll up to everyone and this is how it finished:

Here are some of the views from the nominations thread:

cherryexile: “Bishop.

I felt the game turned with the two substitutions, House’s harrying, but Bishop keeping the ball on the floor meant we found our way through their midfield more often.”

Merthyr Imp: “Bishop – began to make things happen in midfield.”

PerthImp: “Really difficult to say as no one stood out, but after watching the game on iFollow I would say Hamilton. He battled hard for the ball, with a bit of quality, then got the winning goal with a well-taken strike.”

August 2023:

Bolton Wanderers (a): Ethan Hamilton: 74 votes (89%), Danny Mândroiu: 9 votes (11%).
Notts County (a): Danny Mândroiu: 47 votes (62%), Reeco Hackett-Fairchild: 19 votes (25%), Alistair Smith: 10 votes (13%).
Wycombe Wanderers (h): Danny Mândroiu: 44 votes (79%), Ethan Erhahon: 9 votes (16%), Paudie O’Connor: 3 votes (5%).
Northampton Town (a): Reeco Hackett-Fairchild: 28 votes (70%), Paudie O’Connor: 7 votes (17%), Ethan Erhahon: 5 votes (13%).

Thank you to Graham Burrell and Lincoln City Football Club for the photograph!
