Following the 2-2 draw away at Northampton Town in League One, I asked the Vital Lincoln City members to nominate who they thought was City’s Man of The Match. The three players who received at least one nomination were Reeco Hackett-Fairchild, Ethan Erhahon and Paudie O’Connor. Thank you to those who voted!
Following the nominations, we opened the poll up to everyone and this is how it finished:
Here are some of the views from the nominations thread:
Chimpimp: “I thought Jensen had another solid game. Comes for crosses he should do and not for ones he should not. Not likely to get a game for Man U on that basis but hey ho.
However, I will go for O’Connor. The best defender we had tonight by a distance and a goal to boot.
Can we find another player as dependable and assured before the window closes?”
berksimps: “Hackett by a country mile.
O’Connor defended well and scored, but he is captain and his organisational skills were somewhat lacking last night.”
clanford: “Hackett for me. The goal was obviously a screamer but he was everywhere across the front third getting involved, making runs and generally linking up everything. A nod goes to Mandroiu who was again showing his vision in his playmaking. That reverse pass to Erhahon leading to the goal was quality.”
