Following the 0-0 draw versus Wigan Athletic at the DW Stadium Stadium in League One, I asked the Vital Lincoln City members to nominate who they believe was City’s Man of the Match. On this occasion, five players were nominated within 24 hours following the thread being started. Those players were: Lasse Sørensen, Ethan Hamilton, Ethan Erhahon, Paudie O’Connor and Adam Jackson. Thank you to those who voted on the poll!

Following the nominations, we opened the poll up to everyone and this is how it finished:

Here are some of the views from the nominations thread:

Chesterimp: “Get things started…

It was a solid team performance in which no one really stood out, good or bad.

But Lasse Sorensen showed his usual marauding pace but also some sound defensive skills and some physical strength to retain the ball a couple of times, and gets my nomination.”

Chimpimp: “I think this week the Captain can take the man of the match award on behalf of the team. Really was a team effort, no one was exceptional but no one was substandard either. O’Connor did everything you would of expect of him, strong and resolute. He set the standard.”

Norfolk Imp: “Jackson, just oozes class at the back, looks in control of everything and reads the game so well.”
