Top of the pile is LUKAS JENSEN after a solid month. Cynics may say the best of a poor bunch, but Jensen has been the difference in several games, particularly at Orient in which a reinvigorated Imps turned original defeat into replayed victory.

Stand-in captain ADAM JACKSON takes second place and may have done enough to keep the armband on a more permanent basis. With a new head coach in the building and Paudie O’Connor’s position at the foot of this month’s ratings, we await the next few games with added interest.

In third place for the second month in a row is ALEX MITCHELL, swiftly turning into our loan signing of the season. With Adam Jackson and TJ Eyoma also in this month’s top six, O’Connor’s aberration against Port Vale looks potentially costly. Mitchell has moved into a clear lead at the top of our Player of the Season category and is now looking like one of the first names on the teamsheet.

An honourable mention this month to Dylan Duffy who has taken his latest opportunity despite playing in an unfamiliar position: what are the chances of accidentally unearthing a star wingback for the second time in 2023?
