Top of the pile is ADAM JACKSON, becoming the fifth different player to top the ratings in the five months of the season so far. Critics will point to his relatively low average rating of 6.59 but that does include being Player of the Match on two occasions (Wigan and Reading).
TJ EYOMA takes second place after winning his place back in November. His versatility across the back line should see him become a fixture between now and the end of the season, especially considering the disciplinary record of captain Paudie O’Connor.
In third place is ETHAN HAMILTON, who always gives maximum effort from midfield. Perhaps more a comment on a misfiring forward line, but only Hakeeb Adelakun has scored more goals from open play this season.
The average team rating of 5.84 is the lowest of the season so far and the first time it has slipped below the par score of 6.0. Only five of the eighteen players rated during December reached the par score individually.
