“I think Richie Wellens has got us playing a lot better and quicker than under Phil Brown.”

|

And now for the answering provided by Ben:

How long have you supported Swindon Town?

Since 1992/93. It was my first season watching Town, the season we got promoted to the Premier League.

Where did you finish last season?

9th.

What do you think of your Manager?

Wellens has done well considering, took over a team low on confidence and on the slide. Also, a terrible imbalance in the side which he is now addressing. The footballs better and we’ve started winning a few.

What are your hopes and expectations for this season?

Hope for playoffs (not happening), I expect us to finish strongly and build a team capable of pushing for the top 3 next season.

One(s) to watch?

If Michael Doughty is on it he’s one of the best in the league. Keshi Anderson and Kaiyne Woolery are capable of hurting you.

Who do you think will finish in the top 7?

Lincoln City, Mansfield Town, Milton Keynes Dons, Bury, Colchester United, Carlisle United and Forest Green Rovers.

Who do you think will finish in the bottom 2?

Macclesfield Town and Yeovil Town.

What are your thoughts on Lincoln City?

Good manager, hard-working team, good chance of finishing Champions.

What do you think the score will be?

1-1. Steady improvement by us. As well as a decent requirement this January.

Random fact about your Club?

The only team to conceded 100 games in a Premier League season.

What are your proudest and most embarrassing moments as a Swindon Town Supporter?

A fair amount of this season. The defeat against Woking was pretty shameful.

Who would you say is your most underrated player?

Martin Smith – good player, but he can’t get a game.

Do you have a Supporters Trust and what role do they play at the Club?

Yes, we do, they are very active. Currently working with the club to purchase The Country Ground freehold.

Which was your favourite match involving Swindon Town?

This is easy. The day we won promotion to the Premier League.

Which was your least favourite match involving Swindon Town?

Probably the defeat to Woking in The FA Cup this season.

Do you have a Former Players Association at Swindon Town?

Yes, we do.

Do you think you’ll miss Sid Nelson?

YES, we’re trying to buy him on a permanent deal. Looks like we’re going to have to wait until the Summer now. He’s a really good player.

Is Marc Richards other job as a youth coach at Northampton Town affecting his form this season? Should you move him on for someone else?

Not really, he puts cones out for kids. His problem is he’s 36. His legs have gone.

When are you going to put a roof on the Stratton Bank?

That is the plan if we buy the freehold.

Has Lee Power’s buying of Waterford been of benefit to Swindon?

No.

Are the majority of fans against Power still?

Very much so, his time here has been nothing short of a disaster.

How did Kellan Gordon fare for you last season?

Good player but lacks an end product.

Who is the one player in the last two or three seasons that you wished you’d kept?

Nath Byrne, who is now at Wigan. He was class.

How valuable is Keshi Anderson to the Robins?

He’s a good player, carries the ball well but very frustrating. Like Gordon lacks an end product.

What’s the best thing about Swindon?

The best thing is it’s steam train heritage.

What lane do I get in to go across the magic roundabout?

Ha, it’s easier than it looks. Just remember to give way to the right.
