“We must take the mental toughness, belief, pride and persistence from the Everton game and put it to good use.”

Ahead of today’s match against Swindon Town in Sky Bet League Two, we asked our members what three things they think The Imps need to do to come away with all three points.

Here’s what HitherImp said:

1. We must take the mental toughness, belief, pride and persistence from the Everton game and put it to good use. If a Premiership side worth squillions aren’t able to walk all over us, there’s no reason that anyone in League Two can do so!

2. Keep a solid midfield and backline structure and don’t let Swindon get in behind us. We have a back four as good as any in League Two but the Swindon attacks need to be blunted in midfield if possible to take the pressure off them and off whichever keeper gets an airing this weekend. This was something I’m sure Danny will have taken from last weekend’s game and our FA Cup experience will only add to the team’s skillset.

3. Be ruthless in front of goal. Chances are there so often every game and our front line are beginning to find their mojo in taking them. The keepers in League Two are proving rather good, granted, but our strikers (and everyone else, it seems!) are more than capable.
