A late Andy Brown equaliser saw City come away from Warwickshire with a solitary point after a very useful performance that was probably deserving of all three. But how did the players rate?

Tom Miller (7.60) got the highest average rating to go with his second goal of the season. The right back is proving a real problem for opposition wingers and defenders alike, and his strike on Saturday was one to savour. Hustling onto a brilliant lofted ball from Jon Nolan, Miller took it down before smashing home at the near post. Both he and Newton remain vital parts of City’s threat. Bumbleimp noted that he was City’s MOTM while berksimps added that he ‘defended well’.

Coming in right behind was Jon Nolan (7.50) who really impressed on Saturday. The young midfielder was a real threat going forward, setting up Miller’s goal and netting himself after some poor goalkeeping. Nolan looks like he is getting better and better in City’s engine room, and certainly in an attacking sense. Berksimps said he was ‘quality’ on the ball, while other comments praised his assist.

In third place came Ben Tomlinson (7.00), who really made sure Nuneaton’s back four knew they had been in a game! The striker’s performance certainly merited all three points as Tomlinson put in another all action, physically imposing and generally-irritating-for-defenders performance.

In terms of posters and skeggyimp was the most generous (6.75 average) while I myself was the meanest (6.17). Overall there wasn’t a particularly large spread with no huge anomalies either way, which makes a change from recent weeks! The average mark was 6.42.
