The Football League has now announced the officials that will take charge of the match between Sunderland and Lincoln City in League One.

Sunderland host Lincoln City on Saturday, January 4 for the match at the Stadium of Light and the match carries a 3.00pm kick-off.

This will be the first time Leigh Doughty has been the man in the middle for a match involving Lincoln City, following his promotion to the National List of Referees after just one season in the Conference.

Doughty, who is a PE teacher by trade, began refereeing in 2007 and his first match in the Football League was Cheltenham Town’s 4-1 win at home against Scunthorpe United in League Two on 10th August 2019.
