“What a time to be an Imp.”

Following Monday’s 0-0 draw at home against Tranmere Rovers in Sky Bet League Two, we asked our members what three things they learned from the match.

Here’s what Casperimp said:

1. Danny and Nicky Cowley are the best management team this club has ever had (and that is not in any detriment to the legends that are Graham Taylor, Colin Murphy, Bill Anderson, Keith Alexander etc). But these guys have propelled us onto an unprecedented sustained period of success.

2. This is the best of times to support our club and is probably the best period in our history to be an Imp.

Jules: Just to add to this, I agree. It is only a few years ago I was looking around at Sincil Bank thinking “Will we even have a Football Club in a few weeks?”, now I’m thinking “Just where can Danny and Nicky Cowley take us?”. This journey is most certainly nowhere near over yet, but let’s just enjoy every second while it lasts.

3. Listening to Danny talk the other day he and Nicky clearly have no intention of going anywhere yet and this journey still has a way to go and where these two can take us is something we can all dream about over the Summer. What a time to be an Imp.
