“Tyler Walker is a class act.”, “Brilliant, game-changer of a signing.”

The Imps announced the signing of Tyler Walker on a season-long loan from Nottingham Forest at their recently opened Club Shop in the Waterside Shopping Centre yesterday afternoon.

The 22-year-old was on loan at Mansfield Town for the 2018/19 season, scoring a total of 26 goals in all competitions and making it into the PFA League Two Team of the Year.

Walker made his professional debut for Forest in the Championship as a substitute for Chris Burke in the 92nd-minute against at home Rotherham United on 18th March 2015, which finished 2-0 to the hosts. Since then, he has spent time on loan at Burton Albion, Stevenage, Port Vale, Bolton Wanderers and Mansfield Town.

Reaction on 100% Imps:

Sticky Palmer: “Tyler Walker is a class act, watched him since he was 7 years old. Think it took him 10 seconds to score against the Imps last season when he came off the bench to score the winner in the Checkatrade. A massive signing for The Imps who will add goals to our team.”

Snats: “Brilliant, game-changer of a signing. Hope he can bring the best out of big John as well. Jordan Adebayo-Smith should keep them both on their toes. I’m very happy with our squad.”

hulloutpost: “Good news for JA. He had to carry one heck of a load last season and for a big man playing the lone striker role must have taken its toll. This gives DC a much more horses for courses option than last season and both will get their fill of game time in formations and setups that play to their respective strengths. Well, that’s my theory anyway.”
