The Opposition View – Summary of The Liverpool Camp’s Match Preview

Liverpool put staff member Pepijn Lijnders forward to preview their match against The Imps on Thursday.

Team to Face The Imps: Henderson and Matip won’t be fit. PL would not be drawn specifically on whether Thiago or Jota would play. He did say that Liverpool have evolved a squad over the past few years to be in a position to now try and win every competition. The days of simply giving somebody an opportunity are gone.

Liverpool have developed a group mentality to see every ‘next game’ as a final with the ability to focus on that. It will be a good team, a strong team with hunger and desire and a responsibility to give everything. PL advised the press that it will therefore be a strong team and some of them may be surprised.

Lincoln City: Lincoln are a club on a great journey with two promotions in the last four years and currently top of the league. Imps have an experienced manager and they are looking forward to the game.

It has been noted that Lincoln defend deep and counter-attack, utilising speed on the wings and benefitting from good technical players inside. Imps have already scored 5 goals this season from counter-attacking positions.
