Kegan Everington is an up and coming midfielder who signed his first professional contract for his local side, Lincoln City in the summer of 2014.

Kegan Everington is an up and coming midfielder who signed his first professional contract for his local side, Lincoln City in the summer of 2014 having progressed through the youth ranks at Sincil Bank. This youth system has introduced players such as Jack Hobbs, Darren Huckerby and Scott Loach into the world of football. Kegan had an impressive spell within the youth team, which allowed him to be drafted into City’s first team squad for the first time on New Year’s Day 2014, where he went on to make his debut as a substitute in a 1-1 draw away at local rivals, Grimsby Town.

How did you get into football?

I got into football by joining a local football team.

What team did you follow as a child?

I followed Liverpool and still do.

Who is your footballing idol?

My idol is Steven Gerrard.

If you weren’t a footballer what do you think you would be doing?

I honestly don’t know what I’d be doing, which is a reason why I’m forever grateful for being given an opportunity to be a footballer.

Where do you see yourself in 10 years?

I see myself playing for Lincoln City back in the Football League.

If you could choose one player to play alongside who would it be?

Steven Gerrard.

What’s your ultimate goal as a footballer?

To play at the highest level possible.

Where do you see Lincoln City in 10 years?

I see us back in the Football League where we belong!

What’s the strongest part of your game?

I’d say working hard and never giving in.

What part of your game do you need to improve?

Being brave enough to head the ball haha!

Who’s your best mate in football?

All of us younger lads at Lincoln are best mates.

What’s the best ground you’ve played at?

Nottingham Forest, City Ground.
