We played more controlled passing game, but in the second half we seemed to get a bit anxious and rushed some passes instead of being more composed, bringing the ball down and playing football. Still, a good result and keeps us ticking over till we get ‘on method’. Well done Imps and the 8,000 fans – great turnout.”

JT_LCFC: “Decent hardworking performance but we could and should have won by a cricket score. Wasteful in front of goal and some brilliance by their keeper.”

Snats: “Made enough chances to win 3 games. Some wasteful finishing, some top goalkeeping. Once we start taking our chances we’ll be top half easily.

Also, who was it who said they were looking forward to the higher standard of refereeing in the Football League? That was a good joke.”
