Sebastian Stockbridge has been the man in the middle for 12 matches involving Lincoln City:

He received an average rating of 4.625 following the 2-0 win at home against Oxford United last season. Some of the comments can be found below:

sedgleyimp: “From being in the stadium…

Actually quite a difficult one to properly assess…some good and some bad. He was very decisive on the red card and our second goal he let play go on when Maguire was caught in the box allowing Whitaker the chance to get the goal. I like to think he would have pointed to the spot if the ball hadn’t gone in. He was also hampered by a really poor linesman on the Co-op side who I don’t think managed a correct decision all match for either side.

He did though seem to be allowing too much to go unpunished and in many ways that policy is what resulted in their red card. It was fortunate that Fiorini didn’t pick up a serious injury as a consequence.

Overall I think I’ll go with a slightly below par of 5.5.”

HitherImp: “You know what you’re getting with Seb and today was no exception. Game got away from him early on and he never really got it back. Right decision with Fiorini but he had no choice. Taken in by a lot of play-acting from both teams.

4.”

Riiiiik: “He didn’t make any stupid decisions that cost us the game but unless we we’re a dirtier side than Oxford he seemed to allow them to get away with similar tackles we we’re punished for. It was 15 – 5 on fouls. He did produce the red card immediately so I’ll go 6.”

Sebastian Stockbridge: 2022/23 Stats:

Sebastian Stockbridge was the man in the middle for 37 matches last season, showing 116 yellow cards and 5 red cards.

He was just a little card happy in the League One encounter between Sheffield Wednesday and Fleetwood Town (1-0) when he showed 9 yellow cards, including a booking for former Imps loanee Callum Morton.

Stockbridge oversaw 31 matches during the 2020/21 season. In those matches, he showed 100 yellow cards and 4 red cards.

He brandished the yellow card on 8 occasions during the League Two match between Morecambe and Leyton Orient, which finished 2-1 to the hosts, with former Imps loanee Lee Angol booked for the visitors.
