He received an average rating of 4.54 following the 2-1 win away at Cambridge United last season. Some of the comments can be found below:

Impalex: “I thought he was overly fussy, was clearly in the pocket of the home side (e.g. giving Rhead absolutely nothing but everything against him) and at one point gave us a throw-in, then gave it to them, then back again! 4.5 max from me.”

Stevie_imp: “No major complaints from me. Took early command and got the major decisions right. A little inconsistent at times but then he is human and watching in real-time from whatever position he is in. 6/10.”

gijsbert_bos: “He should have booked their midfielder early on for a late challenge on Freck. Generally too whistle-happy, which may have been more a reflection of how niggly the game was. I felt we were a bit lucky with the Harry incident, but otherwise, he tended to favour Cambridge for the pulling/climbing/niggling stuff. Lots of bizarre and infuriating decisions, not serious ones but just killed the flow of an already disjointed game.

4/10.”

Carl Boyeson: 2019/20 Stats:
