Following last night’s 2-2 draw at home against Swindon Town in League One, I asked the Vital Lincoln City members what three things they learned from the match.

Here’s what Chesterimp said:

1. Teams have sussed us out to some extent. If we’re on our game we can deal with that, but tonight we were far from on it, too many stray passes, sloppy moments from all the team, gifting 2 goals. In theory 2 dropped points but it could be argued we were lucky to get 1. MA has clearly acknowledged this in his post-match interview!

2. Midfield structure misses Bridcutt’s influence. Grant needs to be more of a ’10’ than a 6 to have more influence. Johnson is less effective in midfield, so either needs to be in the front 3 or an impact sub. Hopefully, Sanders is getting match fit and on method as he may have an important role to play before Bridcutt’s return.

3. Edun remains our best left-back. Bramall continues to look the weakest of the 3 late window signings, though he was up against a good winger. He looks like he’ll need the rest of the season playing a bit part role while getting up to scratch for next season.
