How long have you supported Tranmere Rovers?

I have been supporting Tranmere for 30 years, my first game was the Third Division Playoff Final, even though we lost to Notts County I was hooked.

Where did you finish last season?

We finished 6th last season beating Forest Green Rovers in the Semi-Final and then Newport County in the Final of the Playoffs.

What do you think of your Manager?

I think he is currently the best man for the job, he split opinions as a player though, he demands high standards all the time and of course the back to back promotions.

What are your hopes and expectations for the 2019/20 season?

I think realistically I would take 20th place now, we are in a relegation battle and the January transfer window is massive for us, we need a good window again like last January.

One(s) to watch?

Morgan Ferrier and Kieron Morris, both ex-Walsall, probably our best 2 players, hardworking and skill full and know where the goal is.

Which teams you think will finish in the top six?

The top 6 for me will be Ipswich Town, Wycombe Wanderers, Peterborough United, Blackpool, Rotherham United and Portsmouth, not necessarily in that order.

Which teams do you think will finish in the bottom three?

The bottom 3 is a tough one, I think Southend United are doomed, I expect Bolton Wanderers to spend in January and might just stay up, then it’s AFC Wimbledon, Milton Keynes Dons, Accrington Stanley, us and possibly yourselves. It’s going to be close, but I’ll say Southend United, AFC Wimbledon and Accrington Stanley.

What are your thoughts on Lincoln City?

Very similar-sized clubs, both taken huge steps forward in recent years, and we pushed you all the way in your National League Championship season and I expected you to be in and around the top 10. I must admit that I’m not a fan of the Air Raid Siren sorry).

What do you think the score will be?

I think it will be a tight game but going for a 1-2 win for us.

Random fact about your Club?

We are the only football team, as far as I know, to have 3 Lions on our badge, bonus fact we are the only club with a Viking/Norse connection, the word Tranmere in Norse means sandbank of the Heron/Crane.

If you could steal one Lincoln City player for your own team, who would it be and why?

I haven’t really seen much of you this season but based on previous seasons I would have Bruno Andrade, I just think he’s a very good player and one I had hoped to sign when he left Boreham Wood.

What are your proudest and most embarrassing moments as a Tranmere Rovers Supporter?

My proudest moment supporting Tranmere was getting to the 2000 League Cup Final which we lost to Leicester City but just getting to the Final as a First Division/Championship team was amazing.

As for most embarrassing, it has to be back to back relegation from League One to the National League closely followed by the club being put up for sale on eBay.

Who would you say is your most underrated player?

Our most underrated player for me is Jake Caprice, Orient fans were laughing when we signed him saying he wasn’t good enough for the EFL but has been one of our most consistent players since we signed him, he seems to quietly unnoticed by a lot of fans.

Do you have a Supporters Trust and what role do they play at the Club?

Yes we do have a trust and they have a seat on the board and as such are a link to the club for our fans, they run the beer tent in the main car park which away fans are welcome, with all profits going to the club and they do a lot of good work.

Which was your favourite match involving Tranmere Rovers?

This is a tough one!! After 30 years I’ve seen a few but in terms of importance it has to be the Boreham Wood Playoff Final, we were reportedly losing £30-40K per week that season and the budget would have been slashed massively if we didn’t go up then and would probably still be in the National League now. But in terms of fun and humiliating it must be Everton 0-3 Tranmere Rovers in the FA Cup.

Which was your least favourite match involving Tranmere Rovers?

Again. I’ve seen a few!! Getting beat by Welling at home has to be up there but I think the Forest Green Rovers Playoff Final defeat was so disappointing and tough to lake for me it was a formality that we would win, that took a while to get over for the fans and the players as the poor start we had to the following season proved.

The mighty Rovers.

Are you sick of us, yet?

No, not really, we’ve been having some good battles recently and a bit of friendly rivalry has developed, good luck for the season except when we play you.
