Views Before The Game On Our Match Thread

Scotimp: “Surprised not to see Farman back in for this game. He has the big-match experience that Vickers does not.

Didn’t expect to see Arnold back either, for a number of reasons. Has been injured, has only played one game in the last five, and I reckon Ginnelly is faster against that ancient defence. Useful to have the pace of Gino and JMD potentially coming off the bench in the second half, though.”

The Imposter: “Surprised to see Arnold back too but he will be totally up for this.

Come on CITY!!”

simes69: “Well I’m nervous about this one – the first time this season I’ve been nervous…”

Views After The Game On Our Match Thread

The Imposter: “At least it is a point. Need to start converting chances though.”

evenstephen: A draw where we just had the better chances especially Bostwick near the end. Grimsby were not as effective and a clean sheet for the defence is a bonus.”

imps_joe: “Today is the first time this season I’ve come away from the game frustrated. As everyone said, we simply cannot finish. Bossy really should be putting one of his chances away.

Think we edged the game and created the better chances, but as a reoccurring theme we can’t score them. Grimsby started the game far better than us, but after 25 minutes we started to control the game (but for couple of small periods). Grimsby got the ball into decent positions but didn’t really create much.

Think we need to start committing more people into the box, too many balls going in there with no one there. Bossy needs to start getting his up and play more controlled passes than first time blind balls.

Decent atmosphere and glad not to lose, but someone learn how to put the ball in the bloody net.”
