Who was Doncaster's famous player-manager when they were promoted from the Fourth Division with Lincoln in 1980-81?

Robert Madley has been the man in the middle for two matches involving Lincoln City:

23/10/10: Lincoln City 0-0 Stockport County (League Two) – no cards
05/02/11: Hereford United 0-1 Lincoln City (League Two) – 1 yellow card

TOTALS: Matches: Yellow Cards: 1 Red Cards: 0

Robert Madley was sacked by Professional Game Match Officials Limited (PGMOL) in 2018 after sending a video mocking a disabled person to a friend. Prior to the start of this season, he accepted the opportunity to return to officiating in English football.

After holding discussions with PGMOL, he agreed to officiate at League One and League Two this season, and agreed to attend an FA discrimination workshop.

In a blog post back in February, Madley wrote: “I am not proud of my actions in 2018 and I have learned from this and feel I am a better and stronger person for it. PGMOL dealt with what they considered a discriminatory act in the strongest way. There can be no criticism for that and I have never sought to do anything other than respect the decision and to learn from it as a person. I can only thank them for having the ability to forgive, recognise that one naive moment does not define a person and offer me a second chance to do what I love to do.”

Robert Madley: 2020/21 Stats:

03/10/20: Morecambe 1-0 Port Vale (League Two) – 3 yellow cards

24/10/20: Barrow 2-2 Walsall (League Two) – 5 yellow cards
27/10/20: Fleetwood Town 1-0 Shrewsbury Town (League One) – 2 yellow cards

Robert Madley was the man in the middle for 32 matches during the 2017/18 season. In those matches, he showed a total of 110 yellow cards and 5 red cards.

He was most card happy in the Premier League match between Manchester City and Everton (1-1) when he showed 5 yellow cards and 2 red cards.

Madley took in 35 matches in the 2016/17 season, showing a total of 146 yellow cards and 4 red cards.

He showed 8 cards on two occasions that season: Tottenham Hotspur 1-1 Liverpool in the Premier League (8 yellow cards) and Southend United 3-1 Scunthorpe United in League One (7 yellow cards and 1 red card).

Madley oversaw 35 matches during the 2015/16 season. In those matches, he showed 96 yellow cards and 6 red cards.
