This will be the first time he has been the man in the middle for a match involving Lincoln City, and, unsurprisingly, his first time in charge of a match involving Wolverhampton Wanderers.

Scott Jackson was promoted to the National Group of Referees by the Professional Game Match Officials Limited (PGMOL) ahead of the current season, following four years of officiating in the Conference.

The former Royal Navy football referee said he “achieved a lifelong dream” after taking charge of his first-ever match above the Conference in April 2023. He oversaw the League Two encounter between Harrogate Town and AFC Wimbledon (2-2) and showed 5 yellow cards.

Scott Jackson oversaw 16 matches during the 2022/23 season, showing 47 (2.94) yellow cards and 2 red cards. He was most card happy in the Conference encounter between Maidenhead United and York City (0-1) when he showed 6 yellow cards, including a booking for former Imps player Ethan Ross.

So far this season, Jackson has refereed 9 matches, showing 40 (4.44) yellow cards and 1 red card. 8 of his yellow cards came in the League Two match between Swindon Town and Crewe Alexandra (2-2) in front of a crowd of 9,022 at The County Ground.
