How Long Have You Supported Them?
Since our first season in the Conference, 1998/99.
Last Season’s League Finish?
Keep it to yourself, but it was 10th, same as previous season.
What Do You Think Of Your Manager?
Still developing! A decent coach with a good pedigree, but still developing man management skills and hopefully tactical nous as well.
Hopes/Expectations This Season?
Has to be play-offs after spending most of last season there but imploding at the end.
You had a disappointing finish to last season and finished 10 points off the Play-Offs, would it be fair to assume that such an underachievement this season will see Hockaday given the boot?
Very difficult question. Dale Vince runs the club very differently to most others and won’t sack Hockaday readily. I think if we did the same as last year, miss out on playoffs going downwards he would go, but if we moved upwards late season or were say top ten all season and just missed out, he might well be given yet another chance.
One(s) To Watch?
Marcus Kelly in midfield, Chris Stokes at left back and James Norwood is always good entertainment.
You have an ex-Imp in your squad in Paul Green. How has he done since he’s been at the Club?
Wasted in many fans’ view. Most of us are very impressed by him but he’s played very little, sometimes through injury but mostly just not picked. He has a very cool head and protects the back four very well. Kept out by Hockaday favourite Bangura.
Top Five Predictions?
Kidderminster, Hereford, Cambridge, Us, Barnet.
Bottom Four Predictions?
Hyde, Salisbury, Macclesfield, Gateshead.
Thoughts on Lincoln City?
Good side, still got some ‘professionalism’ unlike other ex-league teams. Likely to go back up but probably by what I call the Torquay route, slowly building, rather than the panic Stockport/Darlington attitude – ‘we`re not stoppin’ ‘ere!’.
