How Long Have You Supported Exeter City?

55 years and counting.

Last Season’s League Finish?

Playoff final defeat – ouch!

What Do You Think Of Your Manager?

The longest serving, in his 12th season here. Two promotions, put the club on a sound financial basis, challenging near the top of the table so…But a 2016 home record of W3 D5 L15 led to the supporters voting to serve notice on his two-year rolling contract, shortly after which we went from bottom of the table to the playoff final. This issue divides supporters.

Hopes/Expectations This Season?

Hope is promotion. Playoff heartache of some sort is expected.

One(s) To Watch?

Jayden Stockley scores the goals. The latest youngster to emerge may be Jordan Storey, centre-half with just 4 games to his name. Good test for him on Friday.

Top Seven Predictions?

The current top 3, plus 4 from 6 of the chasing pack (that includes both Lincoln and Exeter!)

Bottom Two Predictions?

Barnet look doomed; very surprised to see Chesterfield in such trouble.

Thoughts on Lincoln City?

Tipped them for a promotion challenge; Exeter were promoted from the Conference to League One in successive seasons and Lincoln could well do the same.

I have also have been very impressed for quite a few years with the Cowley brothers and Matt Rhead.

Score Prediction?

1-1.

Random Fact About Your Club?

The current squad includes several players who were part of the promotion squads 2007-8 and 2008-9.

What are your proudest and most embarrassing moments as an Exeter City Supporter?

The 0-0 draw at Old Trafford as a non-league side.

The defeat to Warrington, from the eighth tier, live on BBC One.

Do you have a Supporters Trust and what role do they play at the Club?

We own our football club!

Which was your favourite match involving Exeter City?

Spurs 6 City 3 League Cup 1968. We took the lead twice, but a hat-trick from Jimmy Greaves (all of which were offside!) sank us.

Which was your least favourite match involving Exeter City?

Kidderminster Harriers 4 City 2 (my family is split between the two clubs and were in different ends of the ground. We went two up…)

How much of the transfer income is being invested in the ground developments?

One third.

The chairman said some of that money would be invested on the playing side over a number of seasons to bring stability. Do you agree with that philosophy, or do you think they should be Reid spending more in the short term?

I agree with this.

Why sell Reid?

We were gutted to lose him. He and Stockley didn’t play well together; Stockley was being preferred. Reuben Reid is a proud man and a big figure in the dressing room. Keeping a disaffected Reid and trying to accommodate him was proving tricky it was wise, though disappointing, to pocket a 60k profit instead

The jury on your forum seems to be out regarding Tisdale’s future regardless of this season’s promotion bid. Better the devil you know, or do you think the time has come to change?

I’m in a minority who admire, respect him and want him to stay. It is a mad world where even those managers, who win English football’s top competition, the Premiership, are booted out by the end of the following season.

When will your ground redevelopment be complete and how will this affect the availability of away fan ticket allocation?

Next winter sometime. Back to around 1,000 or so which is plenty enough for most League Two visitors and no longer an uncovered away terrace.

Chris Martin – who is responsible for Coldplay – is from Exeter. What punishment do you think fitting for this crime against popular music?

He arranged for my niece and nephew to meet the band backstage when in Australia, so I can’t say a word against him!
