“Under Jolley Grimsby are a much-improved side.”

After Saturday afternoon’s 1-1 draw away at Grimsby Town in Sky Bet League Two, we asked our members what 3 things they learned from the game.

Here’s what Casperimp came up with:

1. Despite the fact that some people believed we would role over Grimsby there are no easy games in this league and that under Jolley Grimsby are a much-improved side over last season. The result of their first match was possibly an outlier against a Forest Green team that on the evidence so far appears to be much better this season.

2. We are still a work in progress and as Danny has said we will get better and better as the season progresses but we are going to be a bit hit and miss in matches during the early part of the season.

3. The fact that we have played well in two matches and given the opposition a good beating bode well. Allied to this that in the two away matches we have played in the League so far that we have not been at our best, yet we have still managed to garner 4 points from 6 suggests that we could be in for a good season because the teams that ultimately win things are those that can pick up points while not having a good day at the office so to speak.
