How long have you supported Bowers & Pitsea?

5 years.

Where did you finish last season?

The league was cancelled due to the pandemic but we were mid-table ish.

What do you think of your manager?

Smallsy is an absolute legend and deserves so much praise for what he has done with one of the lowest budgets in the league, so friendly and always chats to the fans.

What are your hopes and expectations for the 2021/22 season?

After the stop-start of the last couple of seasons, a nice mid-table finish would be great to then push on next season.

One(s) to watch?

Lew Manor – absolute mister winning the high balls.

Dan Trendall – absolute pace machine.

What are your thoughts on Lincoln City?

As in Ipswich fan, still hurts with our FA Cup performance from a few years back. Looking forward to visiting a league ground with the Bowers boys.

What do you think the score will be?

I think if we can keep it tight for the first 15 you never know but in all reality 4-0!!

Random fact about your Club?

We have a EUFA standard 3G pitch.

Who would you say is your most underrated player?

Definitely, James Thomas, absolute runner and will play anywhere he’s asked, even in goal if that opportunity arose.

Do you have a Supporters Trust and what role do they play at the Club?

We don’t have enough supporters for that lol, we are slowly building our fan base at the moment.

Which was your favourite match involving Bowers & Pitsea?

Our replay against Hornchurch in the Third Qualifying Round, beating our local rivals.

Which was your least favourite match involving Bowers & Pitsea?

Chichester in the Fourth Qualifying Round, We lost 2-1 with a poor performance to boot.

Have any past players or staff progressed to much higher levels in the game?

No.

What’s the best thing about supporting your team?

Family-friendly, friendly banter.

Who would have been your preferred opponent in Round One?

Southend for obvious reasons.

How do you feel about the ground share you have with Hashtag United?

What is your favourite pizza topping?

Mushroom.

What is your average home crowd and how many away fans do you expect to travel?

200, expect 2-300, might never happen again so let’s make the most of it.

If not Bowers & Pitsea, which team do most football fans in Basildon follow? London clubs or Southend?

West Ham, Spurs or Chelsea.

Are the team travelling up Friday and making a weekend of it?

I believe so, night clubs are on the agenda!

How do you think your team will set up, will you be more defensive and hope for a replay with a potential TV date or just go for it?

Counter-attack, defend for our lives!

Who are your local rivals? Any teams your fans dislike/hate?

Basildon United; they are trying to emulate what we have done but lacking so far.

According to Wikipedia, your nickname is Bowers, what do the Pitsea faction think of that?

Not much, I believe the name change was to make more people aware of the club.

Did not realise that Tilson played for Bowers prior to them merging with Pitsea wonder if anybody remembers him?

Sadly, I don’t.
