Insurers acting on behalf of Lincoln City Supporters Trust Ltd have agreed to pay £95,000 costs in full and final settlement of the case brought by Michael Foley.

Insurers acting on behalf of Lincoln City Supporters Trust Ltd have agreed to pay £95,000 costs in full and final settlement of the case brought by Michael Foley, Trust Gold Member and former Associate Director of Lincoln City Football Club. In November 2014 Manchester County Court found that elections to the Trust Board in 2013 were illegal, null and void and that the election to the Board of Lincoln City Football Club in June 2012 of Fran Martin as Gold Member Supporter Director was invalid. The Rules of the Trust have subsequently been amended in line with the Court Order following last November’s Hearing.

“Almost one year after the Court verdict, I am pleased that the case is now settled”, stated Mr. Foley. “I look forward to working with Rob Bradley and other members of the new Board on the reconstruction, reform, and renewal of Lincoln City Supporters Trust based on the values of the Trust movement and in conformity with the principles, rules and regulations of Supporters Direct which I hope the Trust will rejoin. It is time that the Trust once more played a central role in the affairs of Lincoln City Football Club.”
