Ahead of tomorrow night’s match at home against Milton Keynes Dons, we asked our members what three things they think The Imps need to do to pick up all three points.

Here’s what sedgleyimp said:

1. Play with the same intensity as we did in the first half on Friday. The opening 45 minutes against Rotherham was one full of purpose and attacking verve. Repeat that on Tuesday and the only thing missing from that performance, ie goals. will come.

2. Be clinical in front of goal. Something which was said earlier in the season was that we were unable to put chances made away. That has started to creep back into our play again partly because we have players in the team who are still getting used to each other and the physicality of this division. MK’s away record is actually worse than ours with only one league win on the road and that was back in Mid-September at Blackpool but recent games suggest that they don’t give too many goals away on their travels. This suggests a defensive mindset meaning they won’t give us too many opportunities. That which present themselves need taking as they could be few and far between.

3. Patience off and on the pitch. Like I said MK are poor away from home but that seems to be down to a lack of goals scored as opposed to conceding. Tuesday could be something of a battle and the free-flowing kind of game which we can play if the opposition gives us that extra bit of room ( eg Ipswich and Sunderland at home) isn’t very likely. Four losses on the bounce get players and supporters nervous and wanting to do things that bit too soon. We all need a bit of patience on Tuesday.
