This will be the first time Scott Tallis has been the man in the middle for a match involving either Lincoln City or Oxford United, having only been promoted to the National Group of referees by the Professional Game Match Officials Limited prior to the start of the current season.
He did, however, referee two matches in the Football League last season prior to his promotion: Walsall 0-2 Milton Keynes Dons in the EFL Trophy (4 yellow cards) and Rochdale 2-2 Tranmere Rovers in League Two (2 yellow cards, including a booking for former Oxford United player Kane Hemmings).
Scott Tallis oversaw a total of 19 matches last season, showing 61 yellow cards (3.21) and 2 red cards. He was most card happy in the Conference encounter between Wealdstone and Southend United (0-1) when he showed 6 yellow cards and 1 red card.
So far this season, Tallis has refereed 11 matches, showing 40 (3.64) yellow cards and 2 red cards. His first-ever red card following his promotion to the Football League came in the League Two match between Morecambe and Swindon Town (2-2) when he sent off Yann Songo’o for two bookable offences.
