Community work is all part of the focus for the Lincoln Ladies and this week they played the part of Santa.

Players from Lincoln Ladies FC continue their work in the community this week, visiting Lincoln General Hospital`s Children`s Ward to deliver gifts to children ahead of Christmas.

It can`t be nice for any child to be stuck in hospital over Christmas and Lincoln Ladies wanted to do their bit to help bring some comfort to the youngsters who are facing the festive period away from home this winter.

Five of the first team squad, including captain Megan Harris and international star Sue Smith paid a visit to the Lincoln and Ruston Wards at Lincoln General Hospital to hand out the gifts and to pass on the club`s best wishes to the children.

The initiative is all part of Lincoln Ladies` commitment to contributing to the local community and will hopefully have gone some way to making Christmas a little bit more special for the children at the hospital.

Lincoln Ladies can also confirm that they will be holding another Football Holiday Camp in February 2011 and any child wishing to attend who books and pays before January will benefit from the special discounted rate of just £7.50 per day.

The camp will run from Tuesday 22nd February to Thursday 24th February 2011 at Lincoln Christ Hospital School, offering kids the chance to receive expert coaching from the likes of Sue Smith and other England internationals.
