Lincoln City 4-2 Everton U21s: Views & Stats

|

Views from mikeosullivan following the 4-2 win at home against Everton U21s in the EFL Trophy: “Entertaining second half – Jordan Wright probably got us through again with a couple of crucial late saves. We probably have the best two keepers we have ever had at this club.

Agree House shouldn’t really have come om, but I don’t think Hopper or Mandroui were ever going to go the full 90.

It didn’t look good for Ben, so Hopper needs to stay fit until the January window opens!”

More views from our Match Thread:

sedgleyimp: “Everton U21’s were a decent opposition tonight. Certainly worth looking at Cannon up front for them as a January option as well as a couple of others.”

Scotimp: “Pleased to be through, so many unforced errors causing problems for ourselves. Glad Roughan got his first goal because he was having a mare before that. Diamond scores his first goal from open play since September and is now our top scorer with 7.”

StrangelyBrown: “Ironically (forget the opposition for the moment….and the Baltic weather conditions) last night was one of the better games this season. Some good football, 6 goals (some very good), second half particularly showed what we can do and entertaining stuff from both teams.

Was expecting a few more in the crowd (even with the freezing weather) however this season it seems the Pizza trophy just hasn’t attracted the interest.

Did I mention it was bally cold though!”
