Give credit to Morecambe, after they conceded the first they took control of the game, and our composure and discipline went to pieces. Why do we do it against the lower-half teams? It must be something about the way they play. Anyway, well done Imps – another home win at last, and still unbeaten at home, plus up to ninth in the table and only three points off the POs. Who’d a thought it?”

Scotimp: “Eleven unbeaten at home is not to be sneezed at, but we struggled because the midfield suddenly decided to be slow, backwards and square again. Sanders tried to play forwards, but it was painful to watch at times. Every loose ball seemed to fall to a Morecambe player, which is a concern.”
