Here’s what Ruskingtony said:

1. Sanders and McGrandles is by far our best combination in the midfield. We look far stronger defensively with that combination in there. It has also taken a massive weight of Mcgrandles who was having to do all the hard work himself in previous matches. Perhaps Mapp will come out and explain in detail why Sanders was ignored for so long when it was obvious it was a weak area for us. I am sure he will have a valid reason that we don’t know about.

2. We signed Marquis to help solve our weakness in front of the goal. But he offers so much more and so far has proved to be a great signing. The guy works his socks off up front chasing and hassling the opposition defence. But it is his hold-up play that is so impressive he won so many balls on Saturday and played some lovely passes. Should have won a lot more free kicks for us as well with a better ref. Before he came the ball was just coming straight back at us from any of our clearances.

3. The recruitment team has taken some stick this season with a lot of criticism about incoming players but they need a big pat on the back for the recent recruitment Marquis is obviously a big success but on Saturday we appear to have unearthed a gem in Norton-cuffy. What a debut from the 18-year-old, taking into account his age and experience, has to be one of the best debuts I have seen at the Bank. Physically strong, won his ariel battles, nullified his winger, but best of all his pace and control for a big lad was a joy to behold. It was refreshing to see him charging forward with the ball taking players on. It definitely bought the crowd to life. Let’s hope we get to see a lot more of him.

Thank you to Graham Burrell and Lincoln City Football Club for the photograph!
