The Stacey West wags are going to have to change their words for the song being sung at the last home game against Wycombe Wanderers. With the removal of the allegation against the former Crystal Palace central defender over the alleged theft of a cooked chicken a charge of stealing a newspaper from Tesco`s Wragby Road store has now been drawn up.
Swaibu was arrested on 20th December as he was leaving the store on suspicion of not having paid for a cooked chicken. This allegation has now been dropped with a police spokesman telling the Lincolnshire Echo: “This separate alleged offence of December 20th has been investigated and no further action is being taken.”
The Imps defender will return to Lincoln Magistrates Court on 18th February and he is now on unconditional bail.
