Delroy Facey is certainly walking the walk at the moment and his huddle prior to the match against Stockport on Saturday proves he can talk the talk. Made captain for the second game in a row the burly frontman is proving an inspirational figure for the Imps as they continue to fight to avoid the drop to the Conference.

Despite Ashley Grimes bagging a hat trick at Edgeley Park it was Facey who many thought was the man of the match. The much travelled Grenada international isn`t the clinical finisher that Grimes may be but his work rate and his physique make him a handful for any defence and his efforts are now allowing others to score.

The game at the weekend wasn`t the clean sheet that debutant keeper Trevor Carson would have wanted but the important things was the precious three points which put City 2 points behind Stockport with 5 games in hand. With Facey playing his best football in an Imps shirt then the points at Cheltenham will hopefully be heading back up the M5 tonight as Lincoln meet the League 2 promotion hopefuls at Whaddon Road.
