Lincoln City manager Keith Alexander admitted he had to ‘work with what we’ve got until Christmas’ after failing in his bid to land a new striker as the loan transfer deadline ended yesterday.
The Imps boss, desperate to beef up his ailing strikeforce, was rumoured to be targeting Nottingham Forest striker Eugene Dadi and Kidderminster frontman Iyseden Christie among others, but despite strenuous efforts, he proved unsuccessful in his quest to attract new blood.
‘There?s been lots of offers, in and out, but nobody’s doing anything,’ said Alexander. ‘I’m not really surprised either. We’ll just have to work with what we?ve got until Christmas.’
But the Imps did conclude one piece of business yesterday when forward Omari Coleman joined Conference side Gravesend & Northfleet on a month’s loan.
The former Watford striker has yet to feature for City since signing in the summer and has just completed a four-week spell at Aldershot Town.
