Lincoln City boss Keith Alexander has called on his goal-shy strikers to start delivering the goods ahead of the Imps? short trek south to Northampton, for Saturday?s lunch-time fixture.

Having failed in his quest to add a new forward to his ranks before the loan transfer deadline window slammed shut, Alexander will have to place his faith in a band of hitmen who have scored just eight League goals between them this season.

But Alexander is placing his faith in the quintet of Gary Birch, Derek Asamoah, Marvin Robinson, Maheta Molango and Richard Logan, after seeing a last-minute move for Kidderminster frontman Iyseden Christie fail to materialise.

?They are good players and I am positive they will do the business for me? said Alexander.

?We haven?t been firing on all cylinders and the players know it is not good enough. But everybody is working hard to put it right.?

Christie was all set for a move to Sincil Bank before Harriers rejected Alexander?s late request, as he revealed: ?Iyseden was all set to come and still wants a move here. But Kidderminster couldn?t find a replacement, so they didn’t want to let him go.?

The Imps travel to Northampton?s Sixfields Stadium ? a venue they have never won at ? boosted by the return of midfielder Dean Keates following the completion of his three-game ban.

But there are injury concerns over defenders Gareth McAuley (groin) and Colin Cryan (calf), while Danny Bacon is a long-term absentee with a broken leg.
