And now for the answers provided by David!

How long have you supported Exeter City?

24 years.

Where did you finish last season?

At Wembley in the League Two playoff final.

What do you think of your Manager?

An honest guy who inherited someone else’s team and has made it his own.

What were your hopes and expectations at the start of the season?

Mid-table finish.

One(s) to watch?

Archie Collins

Who do you think will finish in the top 7?

Lincoln City, Milton Keynes Dons, Mansfield Town, Colchester United, Bury, Forest Green Rovers and Exeter City.

Who do you think will finish in the bottom 2?

Notts County and Yeovil Town.

What are your thoughts on Lincoln City?

I wish they’d just get on and play football. Histrionics apart they are a good side.

What do you think the score will be?

1-0.

Random fact about your Club?

We have our own railway station.

If you could steal one Lincoln City player for your own team, who would it be and why?

I wouldn’t. It would upset the balance of the Exeter Team.

What are your proudest and most embarrassing moments as an Exeter City Supporter?

Becoming Chair when the fans took control in 2003. Watching a fight break out between Directors of a team we were playing when we were in the Conference.

Who would you say is your most underrated player?

By whom? We have an awful lot of young talent that’s about to join Archie Collins in fighting for places in the matchday squad.

Do you have a Supporters Trust and what role do they play at the Club?

Yes. They own the majority shareholding in the Club.

Which was your favourite match involving Exeter City?

V Halifax Town August 2003.

Which was your least favourite match involving Exeter City?

Last year’s Wembley appearance.

Do you have a Former Players Association at Exeter City?

Yes.

What’s the best thing about Exeter?

It remains a place that values individuals and supports them.

If a player left and then rejoined, would they be ex-ex-Exeter?

Best asked of those who have done it.

Having lost your long-time manager, Paul Tisdale, to fellow League 2 Club MK Dons, how do you feel the transition has been and would you rewind a whole year or stay as you are?

Paul Tisdale served a great purpose in giving the Club direction and structure but outlived his tenure. I’d rather be where we are now

Seth Conway, do you have an opinion?

Not about Seth, but certainly about his Father.

Are you missing Jayden Stockley? Will that money be reinvested into your youth system? How did you build such a good youth system and is it something you think Lincoln could replicate?

In a word “no”. Money is reinvested across the Board to improve facilities at the training ground, improve the Youth set up and strengthen the squad. The youth set up has grown organically and is unlikely to flourish elsewhere

Since we last visited St James’ Park you have opened the new stand and the new covered Away terrace. What are your thoughts of the improvements, how were they funded?

It’s now a tidy little ground. It was paid for by the Student development behind the Big bank. All done at no cost to the club and on time.

How has the success of Exeter Chiefs in recent years affected support for Exeter City?

Proud of their success but their main support comes from across the wider south west.
