“Goals can come from anywhere in this team.”

|

Following Friday night’s 1-0 win at home against Yeovil Town in Sky Bet League Two, we asked our members what three things they learned from the match.

Here’s what sedgleyimp said:

1. Patience is going to be required for the remaining games of the season. Much as I would like us to put five or six past opponents I think the reality is that our wins in the coming weeks are far more likely to be achieved through a one-goal margin. This is going to be an almost mirror image of the winning season in the National League where results will be ground out and as a consequence, we as fans need to have just as much patience as the players

2. The current bench is probably the strongest I can remember in many a long season accepting for the requirement to have a club trained player within the 18 matchday squad. To have players on the quality of Rowe, Bolger, Pett, McCartan coming on in most games to directly affect the result is something that will see us through to the end of the season

3. Goals can come from anywhere in this team. O’Hara offers a different threat from midfield than that offered by Pett, O’Connor and Frecklington and couple that with the goalscoring threat from the wide players and set pieces we are not wholly reliant on one player to get on the scoresheet. Opponents have a lot on their plates.
