Ahead of Saturday’s match at home against Doncaster Rovers in League One, I asked the Vital Lincoln City members what three things they think The Imps need to do to pick up all three points.

You can discuss what has been said in this article HERE, as well as many other topics on our 100% Imps forum! We have also published a Lincoln City v Doncaster Rovers Quiz, which can be found just below the three things. Every page view helps raise money for Lincoln City Football Club!

Here’s what Chesterimp said:

1. Quick start – as nlondonimp says, a repeat of Portsmouth. After some sluggish and loose starts, we needed to start fast and precise against Pompey and achieved that. Needs the same on Saturday against good in-form opposition.

2. Be the bullies – we didn’t let Portsmouth bully us as they did at Sincil Bank earlier in the season. Doncaster at Keepmoat were different, a better footballing side in an even match between two good footballing sides, but let’s get every advantage and get in their faces. But make sure we still have 11 on the pitch at full time!

3. Bring the away form home. We stuck to our game on Tuesday as Portsmouth sought to keep it tight once a man down, effectively being the more defensive away side. Patience, speed and accuracy brought the win, though MA will not have been happy with the edgy minutes after the goal and will no doubt have insisted it doesn’t happen again.

Thank you to Graham Burrell and Lincoln City Football Club for the photograph!
