Ipswich Town Job: DC re-iterated that his focus remains wholeheartedly on Lincoln City and it would be crazy to think of anything else at this stage of the season. He is very thankful to the people of Lincoln for the support given to ‘them’ and he considers himself an adopted yellow bellow. He is proud to be part of the community. He did not comment on whether he was or was not interested in the Ipswich job.

Morecambe: It was a good point, pleased in particular with the defence possibly lacked a bit of cutting edge. Expected and got a very tough game. Aim for 20 clean sheets a season so another 6 to go.

Exeter: Tidsdale is a very intelligent, talented and experienced manager. The Exeter squad is a good mix of youth and experience with depth. The manager and their players are very tactically astute and will switch as required in the game. Flexibility was at the forefront of the Exeter way. DC is a big fan of the Exeter ‘unique’ model i.e. longevity, allied with a strong youth system which has produced a line of good players.

Carlisle: Not a great deal at this time other than to say recovery is key and they have a big pitch.

Players: DC would not be drawn on whether Waterfall would be selected. Josh Vickers is back in training but is a couple of weeks away from being allowed to kick the ball. He is managing player excitement regarding playoffs and Wembley.

Overall: The buzz word was ‘proud’. DC spoke about where the club had come from and how much hard work from everybody had got them into the great position they were in going into the end of the season. He was delighted when considering that the likes of Cheltenham, FGR and Grimsby had been on similar journeys from The National League. NC commented on training and set pieces and emphasised the ongoing hard work due to their importance. NC likes the siren as it is part of the club and provides a lift.
