Following the 3-1 win versus Charlton Athletic at Sincil Bank in League One, I asked the Vital Lincoln City members to nominate who they believe was City’s Man of the Match. On this occasion, three players were nominated within 24 hours following the thread being started. Those players were: Lasse Sørensen, Adam Jackson and Hakeeb Adelakun.

VOTE AT THE BOTTOM: You can now vote for which of the three you believe was The Imps Man of The Match in the poll at the bottom! A screenshot of the poll will be taken 24 hours after it was started for the result!

Here are some of the views from the nominations thread:

clanfordimp: “Lasse Sorensen, the best individual performance in a team full of good performances that I have witnessed, probably ever in a City shirt.

His work rate, commitment, determination and desire took him into a different stratosphere last night. He was involved in absolutely everything.

I would love to know the actual distance he covered in the game.”

imps1: “Lasse and Hak were superb but also thought Jacko was superb.

He didn’t let two decent strikers have much of a sniff and got his head on all crosses and corners.

For as much as Lasse’s running was excellent I feel Jacko deserves a mention.”

Chesterimp: “All played well, Sorensen was immense and on another day would have had a hat-trick, Roughan had some moments defensively and getting forward.

But whatever Tom Shaw has done to Haks needs bottling and marketing, where has that player been hiding? As Syimps has highlighted, good set pieces, a lovely run and precise chipped pass to set up Sorensen’s volley, good movement and link-up play, terrific first goal and well-timed run to finish the second.”

Thank you to Graham Burrell and Lincoln City Football Club for the photograph!
