APR in 0-0 draw away at Woking

City started the 2013/14 season with a 0-0 draw at Woking and player ratings is back! Thanks to the ten posters who provided their ratings and thoughts after the game.

The highest rated player was Andrew Boyce, who gained an average of 8.00 as City held out for a clean sheet. Robbochops called his performance ‘dominating’, while CrazyTuba felt it was one of Boyce’s ‘best games for the Imps’. Second place then went to debutant Jon Nolan (7.40), who put in a decent performance in City’s midfield engine room alongside the combative Luke Foster (7.00).

At the other end of the scale and City’s forward players really struggled to impose themselves on Saturday’s proceedings, a fact reflected by the poor scores from the front four. Alan Power found himself marooned on the right and could only muster a score of 5.80, while Nick Wright fared much better as City’s lone front man with a mark of 5.90. The busy and physical performances of Mo Fofana and Ben Tomlinson earned scores just above the average mark of 6 (both scoring 6.30), but in truth neither deserved too much more.

In terms of posters and CrazyTuba was by far the happiest with City’s performance, awarding a 9 and scoring the Imps’ at an average mark of 7.25. No one else got past the 7 mark with most scoring between 6.5 and 6.8, although BrownImp brought the average down slightly having scored City below the average performance mark at 5.83! He was the only poster to score Nat Brown at a lower mark than 7 (going two notches lower at a score of 5) as well as the only one to score Andrew Boyce below 8.
