City earned their second win in as many games on Saturday as they came past much fancied Forest Green at Sincil Bank.

Debutant Waide Fairhurst scored both City’s goals in a fine display, earning the ex-Macclesfield front man an average mark of 8.24. That’s the best individual score of the season so far, so it wasn’t a bad start for the 24-year-old! Other strong performances came from Sean Newton (7.41), Andrew Boyce (7.35), Ben Tomlinson (7.24) and Nat Brown (7.12), scores that indicate the win was a real team performance.
The only cause for concern was perhaps the midfield, with the two holding players and Alan Power failing to get over 6.6. Power (6.35) has had a mixed start to the 2013/14 campaign with several posters still unconvinced about his contribution on the right hand side, while Jon Nolan (6.47) and Mo Fofana (6.59) did ok but struggled to get into the game at times.

In terms of posters and Stevie_Imp was the most generous, awarding City an average mark of 7.45. Rottweiler, kevin6, SalfordImp and the typically generous CrazyTuba all came in at over 7, while Luke Imp was the lowest scorer at 6.36, the only poster to come in at under 6.5
